Elvira Panagiotopoulou was born in Athens and educated in Paris. She studied shoe design at Sergio Rossi and completed a Masters Degree in Accessories Design at the Istituto Marangoni (Milan). In Paris and Florence, Elivia worked in the shoe design for international designers such as Bruno Frisoni, Balmain, Dolce & Gabanna and Madame Vionnet. So in 2015, it was time for Elvira utilise this experience and create her own label. Di Gaia is named after Gaia (Γαῖα), the primal Mother Earth Goddess.
